HOUSTON - Police in Houston said they canceled an Amber Alert after learning a man lied about his nephew’s abduction to speed investigation of his stolen car. Investigators said the man, whose name was not reported, told police Sunday he had been carjacked at 4:15 a.m. by two thieves who drove off with his nephew.
