Janitors trained to spy on teachers
San Antonio - Principals, teachers, and counselors are all trained to spot the warning signs of a child who is being abused. But after a teacher was seen roughing up a student and a former aide admitted to molesting young girls, Judson ISD was forced to make changes. Now, the district is turning to a new group of employees for help. Even though the school day is over, students are still lingering. The janitor’s main priority is to get things cleaned up for tomorrow. But he’s also keeping an eye out. The incidents involving school district employees forced Judson administrators to make changes. District leaders now have to watch their own employees more closely and make sure everyone knows how to report cases of abuse that could be happening at home or at school. To do that, they’re now asking custodians, cafeteria workers, and bus drivers for help. More…
