Chicago, Illinois - A Park Forest man got into a car with two longtime friends, then decided to hold them up at gunpoint to get cash from them, authorities allege. Victor Holmes, 22, is charged with two counts of armed robbery and was ordered held on $500,000 bond at the Markham courthouse, a release from the Cook County Sheriff’s office said. Two longtime friends of Holmes told police they were talking in a parked car at 11th Street and Seeley Avenue in Ford Heights when Holmes arrived and got in the back seat. As they talked, Holmes suddenly took out a gun and demanded cash from both, the release said. The victims gave Holmes $60 and a cell phone before Holmes was able to get away.   More
