Plumber finds $20,000 in vacant home

Holmes Beach, Florida – A Florida plumber who discovered $20,000 in an air return duct at a vacant home said he never considered keeping the cash. Jerry LaLiberte, 62, of Holmes Beach, Fla., said he pulled the grate off the vent and two foil-wrapped packets of cash fell to the ground. “I was scared. It scared me. My hands were shaking,” LaLiberte said. “I wasn’t sure what to do, to tell the truth.” LaLiberte said he immediately called his bosses at Air and Energy air-conditioning, plumbing and electrical service and they in turn got in contact with police and the owners of the house.  Full Article
