Tiger Woods mother-in-law released from Fla. hospital

OCOEE, Fla. — Emergency crews were summoned to Tiger Woods' Orlando-area mansion for the second time in less than two weeks Tuesday, this time because his mother-in-law was having stomach pains.

Barbro Holmberg was taken by ambulance to Health Central Hospital after someone called 911 about 2:35 a.m., hospital spokesman Dan Yates said. She was released about 11 hours later and returned to Woods' home, Yates said. He said he could not be more specific about her ailment because of privacy laws.

Holmberg, who arrived in the U.S. a few days ago, lives in Sweden and is the mother of Woods' wife, Elin.

Tiger Woods wife rushed to hospital after overdose

Report from In2Town

Tiger Woods wife has been rushed to hospital with a suspected overdose reports have claimed.

Elin Nordegren was rushed to Health Central Hospital emergency room after allegedly taking an overdose due to the claims that her husband has cheated on her with up to nine women.

At the present moment the hospital spokesperson has not confirmed or denied claims that Elin Nordegren is in their care or if she has taken an overdose.

Sources close to the star confirmed this week that Elin Nordegren has bought a property with the help of her twin sister and would be leaving Tiger Woods and taking their children to the new property where she would then look at divorce proceedings.

Woman Taken To Hospital From The Manison Of Tiger Woods

The Latest From Florida News-WESH-Channel 2 in Orlando is reporting that a woman was removed from Tiger Woods' home in Windermere by ambulance early this morning.

Firefighters responded to a medical call at Woods' mansion at 2:36 a.m.

The TV station said a radio log showed an adult woman was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, and that the patient initially refused transport, but was later listed as an advanced life support patient.

Video from the hospital showed a middle-age woman being removed from an ambulance on a stretcher and taken through an emergency entrance, WESH said.

Good Morning America also reported emergency measures, and said the woman removed from the home had blond hair.

Health Central is the same hospital where Woods was taken after his early-morning crash into a tree at his neighbor's property on Nov. 27.

It has been reported that Woods' mother and mother-in-law had been staying at his and wife home in recent days.

UPDATE at 7:35: Fox is reporting that officials at the hospital's emergency room said the unidentified woman has been released.

WFTV in Florida says it has been told the woman was "middle-aged." WFTV also said that a Cadillac Escalade, similar to the vehicle Woods had crashed outside his home, appeared at the hospital shortly after the 911 call, and that the vehicle's tags were similar to the one on the car Woods crashed. WFTV described the driver as a blond woman.

Prisoners have a better diet than hospital patients

UK - Patients in Health Service hospitals are far more likely to go hungry than criminals in jail. Frail and elderly patients do not get the help they need with meals, and nobody checks whether they get enough to eat. Despite years of Government promises to tackle poor hospital nutrition, food still arrives cold, and patients often miss out because meal times clash with tests and operations.

Rotten office fridge cleanup sends 7 to hospital

SAN JOSE, Calif. – An office worker cleaning a fridge full of rotten food created a smell so noxious that it sent seven co-workers to the hospital and made many others ill.

Firefighters had to evacuate the AT&T building in downtown San Jose on Tuesday after the fumes led someone to call 911. A hazmat team was called in.

What crews found was an unplugged refrigerator crammed with moldy food.

Authorities say an enterprising office worker had decided to clean it out, placing the food in a conference room while using two cleaning chemicals to scrub down the mess.

The mixture of old lunches and disinfectant caused 28 people to need treatment for vomiting and nausea.

Authorities say the worker who cleaned the fridge didn't need treatment — she can't smell because of allergies.

Bizarre News:Hospital tells grandfather, 71, that he's pregnant

PORTLAND, Ore. - A patient treated for agonizing abdominal pain received this surprising news in the hospital's paperwork: "Based on your visit today, we know you are pregnant." Surprising indeed for 71-year-old John Grady Pippen.

The staff at Curry General Hospital in Gold Beach gave the retired mechanic and logger the ridiculously happy news this month, along with some pain pills.

Hospital administrator William McMillan says an errant keystroke caused the hospital's computer to spit out the wrong discharge instructions for the grandfather.

Stupid News-RI hospital group says doc operated on wrong knee

Stupid News-RI hospital group says doc operated on wrong knee
and Doctors make how much???

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - State health officials were investigating how a surgeon operated on the wrong knee of a patient Friday at the Miriam Hospital, part of a medical network that was reprimanded and fined $50,000 last year for three mistaken surgeries at another of its facilities.
The latest mistake happened while a surgeon performed a knee arthroscopy, a procedure in which doctors insert a pencil-sized camera into the knee so they can diagnose a malady. In some cases, surgeons will repair or remove damaged tissue.

After the operation was complete, the surgeon realized the mistake and operated on the correct knee, hospital officials said.
