School: Ohio teacher took students to strip club

HAMILTON, Ohio – A school spokesman said a southwest Ohio teacher has resigned after acknowledging she accompanied four female students to a male strip club. Butler Tech school district spokesman Bill Solazzo said the 47-year-old teacher resigned Thursday.

He said the teacher told Edgewood High School administrators that the students, all cheerleaders, asked her to take them to the bar in February.

The teacher told school officials in an e-mail that she got permission from the parents of the 17- and 18-year-olds to bring them to the club.

The teacher taught marketing at the school and previously served as a coach for the district's eighth-grade cheerleaders.

Gator accused of starting fire at abandoned school

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – A four-foot alligator rescued in an abandoned school on fire in western Pennsylvania may have also started the blaze. North Beaver Township officials are not identifying the owner of the former elementary school that burned Thursday afternoon near New Castle, about 40 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

But they said the man was living with a menagerie of animals in the building, including the alligator, about 70 rabbits and unspecified "aquatic animals." The Pennsylvania Game Commission was involved in caring for the animal.

Fire Chief Paul Henry said the building's owner believes the alligator started the fire by knocking over a portable heater. Firefighters removed the animal, but only after taping its mouth shut.

Teen charged with billing school for $37K of candy

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – Police say an Ohio teenager tried to pull off a sweet deal by ordering more than $37,000 of candy online and charging the bill to his former high school.

Police say the 18-year-old used a Middletown High School purchasing number to place orders for thousands of lollipops and candy bars from Michigan-based The Goodies Factory. It wasn't clear how he accessed the number.

The candy company became suspicious, contacted the school and was told by detectives to send an empty box.

Police say he had the order shipped to his home and was arrested after the fake delivery.

The teen faces two counts of felony telecommunications fraud. He was being held in Middletown City Jail on more than $30,000 bond.

Bizarre News-Woman brings rabid bat to school!

Woman brings rabid bat to school

STEVENSVILLE (AP) — A parent brought a dead bat to Stevensville Elementary School earlier this week, and now health officials are evaluating which students may need rabies shots.

Stevensville Superintendent Kent Kultgen says the woman brought the dead bat to school Monday morning and allowed kindergarten and fifth-grade students in her children’s classes to touch the dead animal.

While the risk of contracting the disease from the dead bad are extremely low, Ravalli County health officials are trying to determine who may have touched the animals’ mouth to decide who may need the month-long series of vaccines.

Rabies is a potentially fatal neurological virus that can be spread through saliva.

Kultgen says the school district’s insurance policy will cover the cost of the shots, which could be up to $800 per student.

Odd News:School Nurse Laura Obzera Got Caught - Having sex with multiple underage boys

Bolingbrook, Illinois - Laura Obzera is an elementary school nurse at Wood View Elementary School in Bolingbrook, Illinois. But that’s not why she’s sad in her mugshot above (and what a mugshot it is). Laura Obzera is sad because she got caught. Obzera, 49, is accused of having sex with multiple underage boys. The victims in this case range in age from 13 to 17. They are not being identified, but it appears that Obzera did not meet the boys through her job. The investigation into Obzera’s activities began with a hotline call on September 1 regarding “sexually charged text messages” that were taking place between Obzera and a minor boy....article

Stupid News - Parents want to flush N.C. school's potty policy

Stupid News - Parents want to flush N.C. school's potty policy
This is incredibly stupid, people are idiots!

BURGAW, N.C. - Going potty without a partner can lead to punishment for students at a Burgaw elementary school, but parents want the policy flushed.

The Star-News of Wilmington reported that students at Malpass Corner Elementary School can't use the bathroom alone because of an ongoing graffiti problem. A letter to parents from the principal says students can go to the bathroom as a class or in pairs.

Students who go to the bathroom when they aren't supposed to are punished with a silent lunch. They must sit at a table and eat lunch alone without talking.

Parent Jaime Whitmore describes the policy as "cruel and unusual punishment." Some parents are organizing to get the policy changed.
